Testimonials

"If you want to know more about Borderline Personality Disorder, as a borderline, or non borderline, I totally recommend that you buy A.J. Mahari's 3 Core Wound of Abandonment Ebooks. I have searched all over the web, read everything I could, including lots of other books and nothing was even close to as helpful to me as A.J.'s insightful explanation of abandonment in BPD. Finally, I understand.Thank you A.J. for the incredible gift of the insight you share that you learned through your own life experience."

-- Katy Gilchrist, Alberta, Canada

"I didn't think anyone else could possibly know or understand what I was going through. I also didn't think anyone could be so compassionate and patient with me as A.J. Mahari was as my life coach. She gave me support, information, and tools. Tools that have enabled me to truly find myself and to set and achieve my goals. Thanks so much for everything A.J.! -- Mandy"

"I have BPD and I had absolutely no hope for myself until I listened A.J. Mahari's Audio, Finding Hope From the Polarized Negativity of BPD. This and a few other audios I listened to taught me so much. I now have hope. I now understand how I have kept myself trapped in my own borderline chaos as a way of not feeling my pain. I can now change this. I highly recommend others with BPD listen to A.J.'s Audios for Borderlines."

Anxiety, Stress, Fear, Panic - Not a Time to Trust Your Thoughts

In learning how to more effectively cope with stress, anxiety, fear/or panic attacks it is important to know that when you are experiencing such strong, intense, and often crippling fear and over-whelming emotions it is not an appropriate or helpful time to trust the thoughts that you may be over-focusing on. It is not the time to try to make a decision. It is is not a time to judge yourself or criticize yourself either. In this 60 minute audio Life Coach, A.J. Mahari, talks about why when feeling stressed out, a lot of anxiety, fear, and/panic it is not only not time to trust your thoughts but it is a time to use tools and techniques that take practice to calm down and to be present in the here-and-now.

What a very stressful time or anxiety-filled time, strong feelings of fear, or a full-blown panic attack is time for is learning how to to calm yourself, soothe yourself, practice self-care and to use the tools and techniques I talk about in this audio to radically accept the heightened emotion and practice coping in ways that will calm you down and move you through and out of intense emotion, stress, anxiety, fear, and/or panic. Then, and only then do you want to work on understanding more about what all those feelings mean and what the thoughts are that drive those feelings.

The time for thinking and connecting the dots is when you are calmer and when the intense emotions have passed. For some, this might be conflicting feelings about a decision and for others this is a more ingrained patterned experience that repeats in your life. Either way, as I talk about in this audio and in the work I do with my Coaching Clients, there are ways to cope effectively when stressed or in a fear-based anxiety and/or panic state that involve processing and looking at what these feelings and the subconscious thoughts behind them need you to know more about so you can free yourself, ultimately, from this most uncomfortable, painful, and for many, terrifying experience. An experience that is repetitive for many in their lives. An experience that isn't going to kill you, it is actually not half as negative as you may have always believed it to be.

Quotes From A.J. Mahari

"What is in the way - is the way. If you have Borderline Personality Disorder it is the fundamental absence of a known self that sits at the very core of your pain, anger, and your rage. It is your rage that stands between your borderline pain and suffering and your recovery. Your lack of a known and defined self is what is in your way."

-- A.J. Mahari in her Ebook, "Rage And BPD"

"Why is it that we allow so much pain and chaos to be a part of how we define love? What is it that we still need to learn so that we can free ourselves from the burden and the pain of investing in rescuing a borderline? What is it that you still need more awareness about? What are the lessons?"

-- A.J. Mahari in her Ebook, "Full Circle - Lessons For Non Borderlines"

"Hope for change and recovery in a loved one with BPD often causes non borderlines to compulsively focus on the borderline and try to fix him or her in ways that only increase the pain, suffering, and confusion for the non borderline. When is hope really hope? When is hope false hope? I talk about the different faces and consequences of hope. Hope is often one of the biggest hooks and traps for the non borderline and I explain why."

-- A.J. Mahari in her Audio Program, "The Puzzle and Mystery of Hope on the Other Side of BPD"
